Art subjects form the basis and starting point for better understanding of issues, required by the specialization programmes of Faculty of Arts and Design. The purpose of these subjects is creation and development of the art language through drawing, painting and sculpture, introduction to and mastering of art and technical elements and possibilities though practical work in the open air and in art studios
Department of Industrial Design
Contemporary time and mass consumer society demand high standards on the market. Only cleverly designed and high quality products lead to success of any company. An industrial designer is one of the key figures in an economic chain necessary for serious modern production development.
Students acquire knowledge and go through the whole 'design process'. The product is designed from the very first step, starting with stylist and conceptual solutions, technical computer documentation, to the final product production.
Projects vary according to their size, complexity and inevitably, according to target groups. These include simple use tools, containers, technical electronic tools, audio and video equipment, toys, light fixtures, pieces of furniture, automobile and nautical industry products, etc.
Department of Graphic Design and Visual Communications
provides student with in depth knowledge and modern skills from the field of graphic design, multimedia and visual communication. Students develop and improve their artistic and technical skills, analytical, visual and creative thinking during the course of their studies.
trains designers in all fields of planning, interior design and decoration and furniture design. There is an emphasis on practical work through projects and final object realization.
Clothing and Textile Department
provides high quality knowledge applicable in the textile and clothes industry, in accordance with modern trends of this global industry. A mix of the art culture, general culture, technical and technological skills as well as management skills in this walk of life acts as a basis for such a complex curriculum.
educates authors for independent creative work in the complex field of applied arts in the theatre, film industry, television and entertainment, but also other forms of performance arts. Classes are based on text analysis, history of scenography, storyboard design and practical work.
trains experts in the film production industry and other film forms. Students are trained for the positions of directors, cameramen and editors through practical work and creative process study in the film art.
